Randoms; Coolest Pickup Truck EVER
Posted on July 1st, 2009 No comments
Photo Credit: John Roe For Automobile MagazineI read it on Jalopnik, and this is so cool, I just needed to share this with you guys. A jet-powered truck. How cool can that be? Beats your musclecar anytime, just don’t try to race me in the mountains. That would be disastrous.
There’s a video of it too!

Super GT 2009; Sunday’s Teasers!
Posted on June 21st, 2009 No comments
First of all, congratulations to all the winners! We thought that two GT-Rs would take the podium in the GT500 class, but it turns out that three NSX-Rs were placed in second, third and fourth! Petronas’ TOM’S Lexus Soarer was in 6th place, behind the HIS Advan Kondo GT-R. It was rather sad that the WedsSport IS350 was placed in second after a surprise comeback by the I.M Jihan Co. LTD/Apple Shiden, but our own locally-sponsored M7 Mutiara Motors RE Amemiya RX-7 took the third place, so that’s a form of retribution! We’re still sorting out the images for Sunday’s race, so do check back tomorrow night (Monday night) for a full report! Before that, here are a few choice images from the event, with more to come your way!
Above; Spectators at the start of the race getting their shots of the cars while they are in formation. FYI, Super GT employs a rolling start, so this is a one-time opportunity to see such a formation! In pole position is the eventual winner, the Tomica GT-R.

Super GT 2009: Saturday Qualifyings
Posted on June 20th, 2009 No comments
We’re back from the track, and after getting sunburnt and fizzed out (no thanks to the long queue waiting for the Pitwalk), we’re back to report on the situation in Sepang! Arriving on the scene early in the morning, we were greeted by ominious dark clouds over the track and wind speeds of up to 30km/h. Manuevering into one of the last parking bays located near the Yokohama drift area, the track was rather devoid of spectators, as the time and weather was perfect reason for waking up at a later time. Unlike yesterday, the booth areas around the mall were now occupied by exhibitors, with Toyota showing off their TRD Vios which is retailing at nearly RM100k, although it is loaded with TRD goodies and a warranty from the factory. More images will be uploaded later, in a seperate post containing the most-wanted images on the planet right now, the GT Queens! For now, enjoy the gallery and highlights we have setup for you after the jump.

Super GT 2009: Friday’s Relaxing Session
Posted on June 19th, 2009 No comments
An update from the track for those who were at work and for those who were lazy enough to collect their pre-booked tickets to the Super GT
Weather was hot with slight drizzle on the way to SIC, although at the track itself, its the usual Sepang weather which is extremely hot, sunny and windy at the same time. For those who are planning to visit the track tomorrow, bring your sunscreen and a hat! Here’s what happened from 2pm on Friday. Above is last year’s winning car, the Autech/Motul Nissan 350Z. More below!
