Customers checking out the new Honda City
First of all, Merry Christmas! Hoping that you and your loved ones are safe on and off the road. In other news, we know that the new Honda City is really hyped up, with fans having to endure a long wait for a completely new refresh from Honda, but its now here, and we grabbed the chance to photograph it and also to get a feel of what’s in store for potential buyers. Priced at RM84980 for the Grade S model and RM88980 for the Grade E spec, we wouldn’t want to bore you with specs as you would have probably pored over them at paultan.org, but the major differences between the grades would be integrated foglights, 16″ alloy rims as well as the addition of a paddle shift on the Grade E. More images and thoughts after the break.

The same 120PS VTEC engine in the new Jazz appears on the City

15" Grade S rims with a eyebrow-raising choice of stock tires

Check out the cold air intake on the hood

More on the upgraded L15A powerplant - it's torquey and has sufficient power to lug five adults up a steep hill - in 3rd gear!

Surprise, surprise! You can fit a kitchen sink in the gap between the front fender and the header. I smell some additional cooling options for extra hoonage capabilities!

Its cat-con sits directly at the integrated exhaust manifold's output port, perfect for quick heating in the mornings

Interior trim looks classy for a compact sedan while interior QC seems good for a CKD model.

The front of the car reminds us of the FCX Clarity.

The driver's master windor control panel. For a six-footer like me, it does not dig into my thighs; a good sign of things. It also includes a mirror-adjustment toggle switch seen right at the top.

This is what you'll see the most. Its steering wheel can also be found in the Civic and Jazz. Funky.

A closeup of the meter cluster. This sedan is aimed for the practical urban family and exudes a classier persona, so no theatrics here.

It seems like it's finished in a metallic sheen, but in actual fact, hard plastics make up for the center console.

The Grade S City does not sport paddle-shifters, and loses the S mode as well.

USB connectivity for MP3 players, iPods and more

Frankly speaking, is rear is boring, but a humongous boot (relatively to the Vios) makes up for the visual drawback.
That’s all for now, we’ll try to procure a test-drive unit to give you a better understanding on how this baby feels. Till then, Happy Holidays!
