  • Randoms; A Day At The Workshop

To most of you, going to the workshop means heading to some high-traffic area in the middle of a township, or to Sunway, where a 300whp car lurks in every other corner. To us though, heading to the workshop can be quite fun when there is a whole camaraderie of four-wheeled statements rolling around. For instance, the MG TD in the image above is a true classic car, whitewalls and all. Launched in 1953, it was considered to be one of the nicest drop top cars to drive – and be seen it during its day. Its nice to see such a classic on the roads, even if its on a flatbed headed somewhere…. A stark contrast to the MG TD is this Saga. We know that it’s a shocker, from the eloquent roadster to this abomination, but hey, one man’s meat is another man’s death penalty.

Speaking of death penalties, it’s time for the owner of this new GT-R to experience something more than the sound of high speed air at full throttle once Ah Heng is done with its stock mufflers. With the rear jacked up like that, the view is quite similar to seeing an upskirt in real life, for car engineers, that is. Such a compact 7-speed box! Intricately-designed diffusers! Coolers that tuck into the diffusers for increased efficiency, and a whole lot of cables and pipings routed in the neatest way. It’s not everyday that you get to see a GT-R on the streets, let alone peek underneath its (side)skirts!! Just another day at the workshop…
